Some people were asking me about the Smoove 1000 gelcoat compound I used a couple weeks ago to restore my gelcoat. I made a step by step detailed video on how to buff your boat to a shine. Hope you find it helpful. Let me know if you have any questions.

DONT WETSAND YOUR BOAT!! This is way easier even with heavy oxidation.

Thanks for posting.
One note of caution. Never set any buffer pad directly on the pavement. I always set our buffer upside down to avoid any unwanted particles transferring to the pads.

On the water she loves it. On the trailer she thinks it looks obnoxiously large. I think the only reasonable solution is to spend more time on the water.

I saw it too but didn't want to say anything. Enough bashing goes on in the world but not on here. I was thinking the you tube channel guys will have a field day on it. It's like showing a vid with a small child with no vest when your anchored on a sand bar. They are ruthless. This forum is pretty chill!

Agreed. I'm sure I'll get feedback on it. I put a disclaimer in the description, but I'm guessing most people don't read the description. Hopefully people still find the video useful :)

Ah, yes. She likes the convertible but says she wants something bigger next time. Maybe her 7 series was a better fit. But she's stuck with the red one for this year, might look for something else in summer 2022 for her as a primary driver.

Yes it's still very cool. Back to boating! You guys getting out soon? The ice just left our lashes down here. Up north still Ice covered.

We have been out a few times already. But the water is 58degrees still. The boys got brave and went tubing last weekend and jumped in for a swim with their friends. I'm thinking us adults won't be in the water until it gets to 70degrees at least.

EVA foam is used for Boat/Marine flooring often these days. It's a great choice, and much more resistant to staining than typical marine carpet. But sometimes EVA stains as well. All of the marine flooring manufacturers have told me that there is not a good option for coating to protect EVA. I'm going to do my own research and am starting testing different water/stain proofing products on the EVA foam. I've got it narrowed down to 4 different products I want to test. If you have any you're curious about let me know and I'll add it to my test side by side with the others.

EDIT: Added a few more products to the test lineup based on feedback from folks.

EDIT AGAIN:
Up to 7 products I'm testing now. Here's the current list:
* 303 fabric guard
* starbrite water proofer
* Trinova marine protectant
* Bayes High performance fabric protectant (indoor/outdoor)
* Nikwax TX-direct
* Scotchgard water & sun
* 303 Aerospace
