Nice K! Looks pretty level too. Air-ride?
No air ride, bone stock. The only thing I plan to do is add running boards so it is easier to get in and maybe an exhaust so it sounds better. I was just lucky to find a truck. It is slim pickings out there.

Cool!!! that thing gota hemi??   It really does look sporty

My wife is wanting to get a new Charger now that we hear they're phasing them out in two years. But I keep telling her we have got to save up for that 379 Pete, cause everyone on the towing forums says I cant tow with a 1/2 ton because they're not designed to pull anything. ;)

Right that's why we got it now too the v8 is on the way out.
Mopar direct connection has lots of factory tuners and options that won't void the warranty now. Nothing for the Durango yet though. Hopefully soon.

I did the oil cooler 2x on mine in 110K miles. At least MBZ covered it the first time.

Wait until you need the timing chain.

Was it still under warranty the first time?
There is a class action settlement against Mercedes Benz with something to do with emissions testing similar to VW. The settlement says I'll get all or major portion of over $3k; full amount if original owner doesn't file. But I have to go to dealership to have work down. I made appointment, they kept car 5 hours, and I was told the parts came in too late as it was a seven hour job. I made another appointment for the following week, it was confirmed, and then the day before, I was called and they said they didn't have the parts....hmmm
I haven't been happy with our two local Mercedes dealers.
Just got my settlement check. $3590.
Plus Mercedes redid the whole underneath from engine to tailpipe. Including DPF.

So thinking of a new tow vehicle as well for our 2022 R6 OB. Thoughts on 2020 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro CrewMax 4WD? It comes with the tow package. I know it is a 1/2 truck not 3/4 like some recommend.

Not sure of the tow rating for that version of the Toyota, but as long as you are under 75-80% of that, you should be fine. We went from a 3/4 ton to a 1/2 ton last year and you can definitely feel the difference in handling. We have not towed long distances yet though.

That's where my concern is, it is 9200lbs which means 6900 for tow, our R6 with trailer I understand is around 7500 to my understanding.

When you say "feel the difference" what exactly?

Anyone towing with an X7 M50i? We are considering that as our next tow vehicle.

Looks like a nice set up. Great HP and Torque ratings.
I know my Durango gets pushed around a bit more than I like and I know your used to that sized vehicle towing your 263. I think you would be pretty happy with it. A little light at 7500 tow rating.

We will also use ours to launch the boat in saltwater as we are planning to do some traveling around florida and the keys. But hopefully you wouldnt have to put that nice X7 rear end down the ramp in the water!

I don't know if the tow rating is much different for the X7 but the X5 with tow package can only tow 6,200 lbs, if I remember correctly.

Thanks V.

We don't tow long distances and our Mercedes GL550 pulled our 263 nicely using a 429hp/516ft-pound twin turbo V8. It stopped very well too with it's massive brakes. It has a 7,500 pound tow rating.

A 2021 X7 M50i should be similar using a 523hp/553ft-pound twin turbo V8 with even bigger brakes. I know if you ordered an X7 with the factory hitch option you can tow 7,507lbs/606lbs tongue, if the trailer has brakes.

If you ordered an X7 WITHOUT the factory hitch option and the hitch was installed at the dealer, your max towing capacity drops to 5,952lbs/606lbs tongue, if the trailer has brakes.
