Yep. Nice and simple.

Thanks for explaining BB. If only the guy at Home Depot had made fixing my sink drain so easy. 4 trips to the store and problem still not solved. Guess I’d better stick to boat work. 😝

I installed a fumoto and just put a hose on it and drain out the bilge. Before that I used a brass garden hose adapter and hose and rigged my vacuum pump that wat.

Hi BB - can you confirm that connection of the washing hose to the dipstick is 3/4 in.?

So I'm trying to wrap my head around this BB. You just screw the damn thing on and pump out the oil without an extension that goes down in the pan?

I used to have an electric pump but someone liberated it from my dock box. So I bought the round manual pump thingy shown earlier, but it takes forEVer.

Last night I ordered the pump from Ebay, so I can probably use the hose extension from my round thingy. But this washing machine hose hack has me curious!

Do we need a you tube vid of this. Lol
Yes Yt the dipstick is designed to be used for draining oil. Screw the washer hose on it cut off the hose in the middle slide it on the inlet barbed fitting of the pump put another hose on the outlet side of the pump with that end going into a waste jug and turn it on. Make sure the oil is warm it will go much faster.

Ok now see the middle section of the dipstick tube it sticks up. Make sure your washer hose has the middle hole so it will fit over it. Mine was fine.

One more question BB :) - do you remove the engine oil cap when draining the oil?

I don't think I do. But I'm sure it's fine if you do. Your not creating a vacuum in the system the pump does the sucking or Yt does🤣🤣🤣
