Bringing the dog this weekend - tips?
Re: Bringing the dog this weekend - tips?
If anyone reads through this entire thread and does not end with a smile on their face...then something must be wrong with them. (or they are cat people).

Go now....the more exposure at the younger age is always better. I get the potty training thing, but trust me, better to start young if you can.Tuscany wrote: ↑Fri Jun 14, 2019 8:34 pm I’ve been leading up to the boat by getting Ellie used to rides in my truck. She loves the truck rides, so motion is a non issue.
We were considering taking her out with us last weekend, but since we were going to have guests, we felt there would be too much confusion for her on the boat, so we left her with a sitter. Definitely a good move.
We want her first trip to be very slow and relaxing, and make it as secure, calm and as positive as we can.
We may wait until later this summer before we take her. A couple more months of age and a better grip on potty training.

Not a dog owner. No dogs on our boat.
I did see someone at our marina that a what looked like rubber dog booties on their mid sized dog.
That would protect our soft track mats.
