R3 surf tanks won’t fill

Post by Jack.McGregor14 »

We have a 2019 R3 surf. We just went out for the first surf of the summer and noticed that the tanks weren’t filling with water. It sounded like they were trying but no water was coming in. Does anyone have any advice?

Hey JackM14. So glad you found us!

I do not have a surf boat so can’t help with filling tanks but others here will chime in shortly. It sounds like the pumps are working but a valve(s) needs opened (or repositioned) if I had to guess.

Any pics?

And welcome aboard mate.

Make sure the valves to the ballasts are open. I’m not sure about the R3 but on the R5 there are 3 valves in the engine compartment for each of the 3 ballasts.
