Sounds like a much better setup. I'll look for that part. Thanks for the info!
Did you end up changing your fittings? I am buying a r7 with 380 and I have been researching parts to make the change on this boat. Please let me know what you come up with.

I did not make the change as of yet. I was just happy to get the hose off, fog the engine, and put it back on. I'm sure after a few off and ons, the hose will break down because of how difficult it was to remove. I'll probably procrastinate until it starts leaking and I'm forced to replace it.

Yes getting the hose off the barbs is a bear. Feels like you are going to pull the fuel pump off! What I have since been doing is just taking a utility knife and cutting the fuel line off square at the end of the bars. Then carefully slice it off the length of the barbs. I'd guess I have about a foot of 'slack' between my tank and fuel pump so can do this for many years. And when it does get too short, I will just replace the line to the tank, with a foot or so of slack again.

What fittings did you end up going with? Any link you can provide? TIA

Sorry for delayed response. The barb fitting for the hose, I used this part. It is has the swivel head to go on.

For the side into the fuel filter/housing, I got a brass elbow.

On one side it is NPT 1/4. The other end is an sae fitting 3/8 that will be the receiver for the part in the link above. Here is a pic of the elbow.

Mercury marine told me the loctite to buy. It is for high temp.
