Is this backwards?

Quick question guys. Used my ski pylon to tow a stranded boater in and it's the first time even installing it. Knew where it was just never used it, but isn't the eyelet - finger in the center, facing the wrong way? I thought they always faced the front of the boat.

Thanks Cruiser

.
Nope. Not according to Cobalt.
It actually works fine that way. We have pulled 4 to 5 tubes and nothing has slipped off.

Agree with AsLan7. If you think about how the tow / tube rope is designed to attach, that's the best way. Take the looped end of the rope over the ski pylon, and put the end of the loop over that finger in the pylon. Then work the remainder of the loop over the outside of the ski pylon, and the rope is quick to remove, but won't fall or pull off.
In reality, it doesn't matter how that finger part faces, the tow ropes work the same.
