Bilge Blower Configuration

Does anyone know how the bilge blower hoses are supposed to be installed. Obviously one goes to the blower but I am unsure where the other hose is supposed to go. I have seen pictures of it just laying in the bottom of the blige by the bilge water pump and I have seen it pushed into the 4" hole on the side of the stringer?

I have an R5 and there are two hoses that go out to the exhaust vent. One is passive and goes from bilge to exhaust vent. The other goes from the output of the blower to exhaust vent. There is no hose on the blower intake.
