My best guess is that it's a bot attack on the board. Since we have better registration criteria, we've kept the spammers at bay pretty well and just don't see that many make it through anymore. Server logs show a bunch of traffic around that time, but not actual registered users.

That's decent growth for a brand loyal forum these days! Facebook popped the Forum bubble back in 2010. The chat never happens like it used to, so the only way to stay relevant on many is good write ups on DIY service and upgrades.

And a unique community that people relate to better than Facebook, I hope. I looked at Facebook before starting this forum, but there were no real options to organize and search threads, work with different forums and sub-forums, and other things that a traditional forum provides. It's quite close to what I hoped for, except that I've actually met many of the people here and enjoy the personal side of it.

Just got my new Cobalt t-shirts from one of our own forum members a few weeks ago, and hoping to be able to wear them out on the local "hangout" lake in town this summer (if we're allowed to get together at local restaurants again

).
