Power Steering leak

Post by milkerson10 »

Was getting boat ready for the spring and found it difficult to turn the boat to the right. Found out the power steering actuator was leaking. Getting it replaced this week. Anyone else have this issue? Not overly surprising as our boat is a 2012 A28. I know understand the meaning of boat, bring on another thousand.

So I had that same issue in my 2016 A25... it was warrantied at the time. Just thought it was interesting that yours is an A series as well. I'm sure it's just coincidence. We really miss the hydraulic swim step! Best feature of that boat. Best looking boats on the water.

Thanks for the info. We love the the hydraulic swim step. We are have some issues with the left side being low. Dealer said hydraulic actuator likely needs to be replaced a some point. Did you ever have this issue

No we had our A25 for four years and the swim platform worked flawlessly, we used it a lot to, pretty much went down every time we stopped.

Swimming platform is still working, just slowly sags on the left side about an inch, no going to worry about it right now, will get it fixed this fall, talked with dealership and they said that replacing actuator might not even fix it, not sure what that means??
