Who owns a 343?

Does anyone on the forum own a 343? I’m looking a a 2006 w/t496ho. The seller is telling me his boat does 70mph. It stock. I have to drive 3 hours to see it. I’ll punch this guy in the face if he makes me drive then realize it does 52mph. I told him I was not interested in this boat at 52mph.

Any thought?

Btw, I’d never punch anyone in the face, nevertheless, I’d be pissed for him wasting my time.

Realistically, a 343 with 496HO's should be in the upper 60's range. My 2006 with 525's and the factory speed top would do low 70's.

The dream-o-meter speedo "could" possibly show 70 on the gauge. Work a deal that nets you $10k off for every WOT mph under 70!!

This is a good point - make sure to open a GPS app that shows true speed on your phone to make sure the speedometer is somewhat accurate.

if the seller will overstate the top end by that much, I wonder what else he would lie about.
