I am having issues with my fuel tank sending unit or the connections at the tank. Can someone tell me where and how to gain access to the tank? Any pictures would be awesome.

I don't have a 246 or direct experience with one, but there's a good chance there's a round circular hatch under one of the seats in the rear of the cockpit area, something like this, that provides access to the fuel pump, lines, and other components:

Not a 2000 246 but close (below). Suggest if you do find it, get yourself ready for 20+ year old screws. Some power tools come to mind, but first make sure you get a quality (tools) screw driver (small?) and take the time to clean those screw heads with a solvent and a razor knife and don't forget to get comfortable (moving blanket/pad), no screw driver angles. Good luck

Thanks, do the center rear and port side seats have to be removed? Do the carpeted floor panels come up to gain access to the round access panel? I'm guessing the tank should be centered in the hull for weight balance but that may not be true. Is it located more to the port side?

The carpeted floor comes up that's under the aft bench seat that folds up on my 02 246

Interested in what you find, please return to this with an update. I have a 246 but no issues with the fuel sending unit. I have replaced the high and low pressure fuel pump.

Thanks for the input. I don't see any round access ports but I have not tried to pull up the carpet under the aft seat. I will report back after I do get that removed.
