Storage Comparison - 242 to R5/R7

Post by Tandjmei8 »

Probably going to change things up in the spring, so I’m wondering how storage compares from a 242 to a R5 non-surf & R5 surf and a R7 non-surf & R7 non-surf?

242 storage
-Port stern by engine
-Port bench behind co-captains seat
-Starboard cooler storage behind captains seat
-Center storage locker
-Port bow under seat
-Starboard bow under seat
-Anchor locker

My assumption is that the R5 and R7 have similar storage as above, though port bow is now a head compartment. Sound right?

For surf models, which ones do you lose?

Thanks!

Thanks for the reply. So, similar storage areas to the 242 + stb engine?

I just looked at an R3 surf, it was very nice but storage is v limited. Essentially some by battery selector( port sideways seat) and behind port bow seat.

Limited storage was the main reason we turned down the boat

Yeah STB engine room is smaller that port, but still pretty big. You also did to list the std bow seat - storage in there in front of the help is huge.
