First thing I'd do is pull it out and check the connection, then check that the amplifier is powered, connected to the speaker, and receiving a signal (e.g., by plugging its input into another amplifier channel with a speaker and making sure there's sound there). This will help determine whether the problem is before the amplifier, power to the amplifier, an electronics failure somewhere, or one of the connections between the amplifier and the speaker.

It may be as simple as a fuse for the amplifier, but mechanical things like speaker or input connections tend to be the culprit more often than electronics spontaneously failing.

I would also check the head unit making sure it's not faded front/back, etc. and all channels are on, if you have platinum sound you should have 3 zones or 4 if you have tower speakers. Each zone can play different media so just double check. Also check connections at the amp.

Just following up. I white flagged it and had a tech check it out during the annual service. It turned out to be a loose deustch connector to the sub - hope this helps someone in the future. Thanks for the suggestions.
