I keep searching but can't find the Cranking specs on my Boat.
I have a Volvo Penta 380 in my Cobalt R5 Surf boat.
Any thoughts on what the Cranking specs are so I can get he right size of battery
Thanks

Re: New Batteries
Is that the new 6.2L? The specification will be in the Volvo Penta engine manual, near the back in a table of specifications. For example, page 157 of this document for the V8-380CE-A shows 650CCA with a suggested 135 minute reserve capacity:

Re: New Batteries
That's similar to my Mercruiser. My spec is 800MCA which is around 640CCA.jhnmdahl wrote: ↑Fri Feb 09, 2024 2:56 pm Is that the new 6.2L? EDIT: Just looked again. My engine spec is 800CCA and 1000MCA which is why I have the 31 size.
The 27 Duracell AGM has only 580CCA and 900 MCA.
