Thank you for your response. I'll address this with my dealer and see what they say. I may just have to talk directly to cobalt. I'm afraid they may come back and say they used the same backing plates they did on every other boat. Hopefully enough people will complain and they will do the right thing!

We have found that the lower the TPM the smaller the wave and the higher the TPM the higher the wave. To lengthen the wave we go a little faster. No problem... the R5 surf Is a great boat and it puts out a wave that you can Surf on and with a fat sack or a full boat it would be fine, but if financially you can do the 6 I promise you will be so much happier surf wise.
