Medallion instruments settings & upgrades?

Post by AFD »

Hello
Just enjoyed a 100 hour service on my 2014 - 273, I’ve owned it 2 years and can lay claim to >40 trouble free hours!
The batteries were disconnected and the digital instruments have reverted to imperial measurements and I’m a knot, meter, KPa guy so can anyone advise how I can change the settings?

Additionally my LCD displays are distressed, readable but overall they look shabby, any suggested upgrades or improvements?

Cheers

Here's a link to your boat's owners manual:

https://cobaltboats.com/art/manuals/2014_273_OM.pdf

I would have guessed pages 3-20 to 3-25 might have addressed it, but I didn't see the answer. Looks like the speedometer has left and right buttons, and it's likely to be some manipulation of those. Maybe try holding both down at the same time for several seconds? Or one independently for several seconds? If it's not one of those let me know and I'll dig more. If it is one of those, please report back!

Thanks,

Just on my second point.

The chrome bezel and polycarbonate screen are like wise distressed, I’d like to at very least to change the bezel & clear screen.

Does anyone know if spare parts are available - where?

I’ve noted the complete instrument can be sourced but it seems quite pricey plus hard to do just one and 4 is $$$$ that being the case given it’s a smart instrument has anyone done a digital up grade and what’s involved if I changed to full LCD screens?

Happy new year.

Got it. ( ok haven’t been with the boat since early December)

Yes, holding the two buttons down for a few seconds opens up the gauge resets.
You can select what you want displayed, metric or imperial readings etc.
Seems the Speedo is the primary gauge as the tachometer won’t display all the outputs.
Interesting it also has a clock but of no use if you switch the battery off.
It looks like the set up is quite “smart” so maybe it could plug into a more recent and larger digital display, now that would be interesting.
