Beautiful R5. Well done Traveler!

The one photo looks like the dock by Turtle Jack's at Port Carling? We haven't made it to Muskoka yet this summer, but hope to spend some time there in August. By then maybe the water will actually be warm!

That’s it! I’ve been swimming this past weekend. The weather was gorgeous but the water was about 72 so you have to swim and get out. It’s too cold to float. Lots of surfers out though.

The weekend was the first real taste of summer we've had. Wish I was up in Muskoka for it, but my kids' activities kept us in the city. At 72 the water is warmer than I would have expected. I'm happy with anything above 75!

What part of the lake are you on? We're in East Bay near Torrance.

We are on the end of Strawberry Point which is the north side of Stephens Bay. Bought in 2013 and built a cottage which took 3 years. This year we added a boathouse so I needed something more respectable to put in it - hence the Cobalt. I work out of the house half days all summer with afternoons saved for lake/kid activities. I pinch myself everyday when I wake up there looking at the lake.

Ok I have a white boat in a white boathouse. So this boathouse took a while to build but almost finished now except for a little paint and slip doors. Due to a screw up on building permits we spent last summer with just the steel frame.

Last December they framed it and put the roof on and glass in, then we had the worst flood on record complete with ice flows. Luckily no damage except for flooded lift motors. It was weird seeing waves roll right through the building, in one side and out the other.

We finally moved boats, furniture, etc in and put up racks for boards and skis. They aren’t painted because I’m still playing with dimensions. Turns out this is my new favourite place.
