R7 Surf Tower Fold

Post by Robm »

Looking to see if anyone knows what the change in bridge clearance is with the Manuel folding tower down? My boats in storage and I’m building a new garage hoping I don’t have to go measure. Thanks for any reply

Hey Robm. Welcome to the Cobaltchat forum. So glad you found us!

Can’t help you with your question but I’m sure someone here will chime in with a measurement.

Any pics? How is she powered?

Again welcome aboard mate!

Good luck on your quest. I tried many different times with people at Cobalt and dealer itself to find that measurement. You will have to measure it yourself, is what I was told by them. We ended up not ordering a tower - wasn't going to take the chance it wouldn't fit.

I have a 2018 R7 Surf with the same tower but is power folding. I recently built a barn for it and it fits without lowering in my 12ft OH doors by about an inch. Your trailer could affect that for the better or worse I don't know. Mine fits in a 10ft OH door with the tower lowered.

Thank you that was the answer I was after, I did get down to the dealer and measured how much clearance you gain with tower folded. Two feet exactly on a r3 I know my boat fits under a 12 with tower up so I feel good about folded in a 10ft.
